At Fjala, we take the privacy and safety of children very seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the Fjala mobile application. Fjala is designed for children ages 3-8 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without verified parental consent.

All learning data is stored locally on your device only. We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on external servers.

Information Stored Locally on Your Device

• Child's First Name: Optional, used only to personalize the learning experience within the app (stored on device only)
• Learning Progress: Which letters have been completed, tracing accuracy, and game scores (stored on device only)
• App Preferences: Settings and customization choices (stored on device only)

Information Processed by Third Parties

• Payment Information: Processed securely through Apple App Store or Google Play Store (we never see or store payment details)
• Parent/Guardian Email: Managed by Apple or Google for subscription communications (we do not store your email)

Information We DO NOT Collect or Store

• No data transmitted to our servers
• No cloud storage or syncing
• No tracking, analytics, or behavioral data
• Child's last name or full name
• Child's date of birth or exact age
• Physical address or precise geolocation
• Photos, videos, or audio recordings
• Social security numbers or other government IDs
• Social media information
• Device identifiers for advertising

How We Use Information

Since all data is stored locally on your device, we use it solely for:

• Providing and personalizing the learning experience on your device
• Tracking learning progress and achievements locally
• Saving app preferences and settings

We do not have access to your child's learning data or any information stored on your device.

Data Storage and Security

Your child's data is completely private and secure because it never leaves your device.

• 100% Local Storage: All learning data, progress, and preferences are stored only on your device
• No Data Transmission: We do not transmit any personal or learning data to external servers
• No Cloud Backup: Data is not synced or backed up to any cloud service
• Device Security: Data is protected by your device's built-in security (passcode, Face ID, encryption)
• No Remote Access: We cannot access, view, or retrieve data stored on your device
• No Persistent Identifiers: We do not use advertising IDs or tracking cookies

Important: If you uninstall the app or reset your device, all progress data will be permanently lost since it's stored locally. Make sure to keep the app installed if you want to preserve learning progress.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or share children's personal information with third parties. Period.

Since all data is stored locally on your device, we have no data to share. We cannot and do not:

• Share learning progress or personal information with anyone
• Sell data to advertisers or third parties
• Transmit usage analytics to external services
• Use cloud storage providers to store your data
• Access or retrieve data from your device

Third-Party Services

The only third-party interaction occurs through:

• Apple App Store / Google Play Store: For app distribution, payment processing, and subscription management. These services operate under their own privacy policies.

We have no servers, no databases, and no backend infrastructure that stores user data.

COPPA Compliance

The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) requires that we inform parents and guardians about our privacy practices for children under 13.

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you control retention:

• Learning Progress: Retained on your device indefinitely (even after subscription ends)
• Data Deletion: Simply uninstall the app to permanently delete all data
• No Server Data: We have no data to retain or delete on our end
• Support Communications: If you email us for support, we retain email correspondence for 2 years for quality assurance

International Users

Fjala is available worldwide and is privacy-friendly for all regions:

• No Data Transfers: Since data stays on your device, there are no international data transfers
• GDPR Compliant: Our local-only approach exceeds GDPR requirements for European users
• No Geographic Restrictions: Your data never crosses borders because it never leaves your device

This privacy-by-design approach ensures compliance with privacy laws worldwide, including GDPR, CCPA, and COPPA.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we make changes:

• Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance

Your Choices and Controls

You have complete control over your child's information:

• View Progress: Access the Parent section anytime to see learning progress
• Delete Data: Uninstall the app to permanently remove all data from your device
• Cancel Subscription: Cancel anytime through App Store/Google Play without losing local progress
• Reset Progress: Clear progress through app settings if you want to start over

Since data is stored locally, you don't need our permission or assistance to access, modify, or delete your child's information.
