How do I unlock all letters?

The letter A is available for free so you can try the app. To unlock all 36 Albanian letters and access all features, you can subscribe to the full version for €3.99/month or €39/year (save €8.88 annually). We offer a 3-day free trial so you can explore everything before committing. Subscribe through the app's parent section by tapping "Unlock All Letters."

What age is this app designed for?

Fjala is designed for children ages 3-8 years old. The app is particularly helpful for preschool and early elementary students who are beginning to learn the Albanian alphabet. The interface is simple enough for young children to navigate independently, while the content is engaging enough to keep older learners interested.

Why is only letter A free?

We offer letter A for free so families can try the app and see if it's a good fit for their child before subscribing. This gives you a complete experience of the tracing exercises and games without any commitment. If your child enjoys learning letter A, they'll love the full alphabet! The subscription helps us continue developing new features and maintaining the app.

How does the parent section work?

The parent section is protected by a simple math problem to prevent children from accidentally accessing it. Inside, you can view your child's progress, see which letters they've completed, manage subscriptions, and adjust settings. To access it, tap the lock icon on the main menu and solve the verification problem.

Is an internet connection required?

No! Once you've downloaded the app and completed the initial setup, Fjala works completely offline. This makes it perfect for car rides, airplane trips, or anywhere without reliable internet. You only need internet for the initial download, subscription management, and optional progress backup.

What devices are supported?

Fjala is available for both iOS (iPhone and iPad) and Android devices. For iOS, you need version 14.0 or later. For Android, you need version 8.0 (Oreo) or later. The app works great on tablets, which provide a larger screen for tracing exercises.

How do I cancel my subscription?

For iOS (iPhone/iPad):
1. Open the Settings app
2. Tap your name at the top
3. Tap "Subscriptions"
4. Select Fjala
5. Tap "Cancel Subscription"

For Android:
1. Open the Google Play Store
2. Tap your profile icon
3. Tap "Payments & subscriptions" → "Subscriptions"
4. Select Fjala
5. Tap "Cancel subscription"

You'll continue to have access until the end of your current billing period. Your child's progress will be saved locally on the device.

My child is struggling with tracing. Any tips?

Here are some helpful tips:
• Start slow: Encourage your child to trace slowly and carefully rather than quickly
• Use a finger or stylus: A capacitive stylus can provide better control than a finger
• Proper posture: Make sure the device is on a stable surface and your child is sitting comfortably
• Practice together: Trace letters alongside your child to demonstrate proper technique
• Celebrate effort: Praise attempts even if they're not perfect - improvement comes with practice
• Take breaks: Short, focused sessions are better than long frustrated ones
• Start with easier letters: Letters like I, L, and O are simpler to trace than Gj, Xh, or Zh

Can multiple children use the app?

Currently, each installation of Fjala is designed for one child's learning journey. If you have multiple children, they can share one profile, but their progress will be combined. We're working on a multi-child feature for future updates! Each child can use the app on different devices with separate subscriptions.

Is this Gheg or Tosk dialect?

Fjala teaches the standard Albanian alphabet, which is the same for both Gheg and Tosk dialects. The alphabet itself (letters, shapes, and writing) doesn't change between dialects. We're planning to add audio features in future updates that may include dialect options for families to choose what matches their heritage.

Will there be more content added?

Yes! We're continuously working on new features and content, including:

• Simple word building exercises
• Audio features and voice support
• Multi-child profiles
• Achievement badges and rewards
• Additional learning modes
All updates are free for active subscribers!

Is the app safe for children?

Absolutely! Fjala is designed with child safety as a top priority:
• No advertisements
• No in-app purchases accessible to children
• No external links without parental verification
• COPPA compliant
• No social media integration
• No user-generated content
• Parent section is protected
All content is educational and age-appropriate.

App won't open or keeps crashing

Try these steps:
1. Force close the app and restart it
2. Restart your device
3. Check for app updates in the App Store/Play Store
4. Make sure your device OS is up to date
5. Delete and reinstall the app (note: your progress will be lost as data is stored locally)
6. If the problem persists, contact us at b3sar11@gmail.com with your device model and OS version

Subscription not recognized

If you've subscribed but the app shows locked content:
1. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account used for purchase
2. Check your email for a purchase confirmation
3. In the app, go to Parent Section → "Restore Purchases"
4. Restart the app
5. If still not working, contact us with your purchase receipt/confirmation number

Audio not playing

If you can't hear audio or sound effects:
1. Check your device volume
2. Make sure your device is not in silent/vibrate mode
3. Check if other apps have audio (to rule out device issues)
4. In the app, go to Parent Section → Settings and ensure sound is enabled
5. Close and restart the app
6. Check if headphones/Bluetooth speakers are connected and working
7. Restart your device

Tracing not working or not registering

If tracing exercises aren't responding properly:
1. Clean your device screen
2. Remove any screen protector temporarily to test
3. Make sure you're tracing slowly and following the arrow direction
4. Try using a stylus instead of your finger
5. Restart the app
6. Update to the latest version of the app
If the issue persists on specific letters, let us know which ones!

Progress lost or reset

If your child's progress disappeared:
1. Make sure you're using the same device
2. Check if the app was accidentally deleted and reinstalled (this will erase all progress)
3. Restart the app and check again
4. If the issue persists and the app wasn't reinstalled, contact us at b3sar11@gmail.com
Important note: All data is stored locally on your device. If you delete and reinstall the app, or switch devices, progress cannot be recovered. Keep the app installed to preserve learning progress.

Free trial already used

Apple and Google allow one free trial per account. If you've previously used a trial with your Apple ID or Google account (even for other apps), you won't be eligible for another trial. However, you can still subscribe to the monthly plan. If you believe this is an error, contact Apple/Google support or reach out to us for assistance.
